GORKHA, Nov 12: Nepal Police have arrested eight cadres of Biplov-led Nepal Communist Party in Gorkha to maintain peace and security in the district, targeting the upcoming elections.
Among them, five cadres were arrested on Saturday and three on Sunday, according to DSP Bhesh Raj Rijal.
It has been learned that the arrests were made to avoid any untoward incident from the cadres of NCP during the upcoming elections of House of Representatives and provincial assemblies.
The police have arrested Bharat Koirala, Bishal Gajurel, Gokul Kumal, Anil Kumal, Megh Raj Kumal, Bhola Bhujel, Rajan Bhatta and Kapila Bhatta.
