POKHARA, Nov 14: Bangladesh President Mohammad Abdul Hamid who is currently paying a four-day official goodwill visit to Nepal went on a boat ride on Fewa Lake in Pokhara on Thursday.
After a short rest at Fishtail Lodge, he enjoyed the boat ride on the lake. Various cultural groups performed dances to welcome Hamid. On the occasion, Panchakanyas (give girls) welcomed him. He arrived in Pokhara at 11: 35 am via Nepal Army helicopter.
Governor of Gandaki Province Amik Sherchan, Provincial Assembly Speaker Netranath Adhikari and Provincial Finance Minister Kiran Gurung welcomed the Bangladesh President upon his arrival at Pokhara Airport.
Hamid has now reached Rupakot in course of his visit to Pokhara. He is scheduled to return to Kathmandu later this afternoon.
