KATHMANDU, Nov 9: The Parliamentary Committee on State Affairs and Good Governance will be holding a discussion with Prime Minister KP Oli on the Nepali territory of Kalapani, which the Indian government has depicted on its side of the border in the recently released political map.
PM Oli has been invited to the committee meeting scheduled for Monday to discuss the Kalapani issue as there have been protests across the country over the new Indian map.
Similarly, the International Relations committee under the House of Representatives (HoR) has invited Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Gyawali for Monday to discuss the new Indian map, according to Committee Secretary Suraj Kumar Dura.
The government of Nepal has already made clear its position that Kalapani is Nepal's territory based on historical evidences. It has also stated that any unilateral move to change demarcation of international border won't be acceptable to Nepal.
