PANCHTHAR, Oct 22: Pauwabhanjyang, which is situated at the altitude of 8,200 ft from the seal level, is a popular vantage point for viewing the silver-looking snow-capped mountain peaks.

When the passengers traveling along the Mechi Highway reach Pauwabhanjyang, which borders Panchthar and Ilam, they do not forget to take a look at the mountains through the window pane, some stop their vehicles and start capturing photos of the landscape while the others take selfie with the backdrop of the mountain peaks.

On the horizon, where the mountain peaks seem to touch the sky, appear crystal-clear Mt. Kumbhakarna, Mt. Kanchanjunga, Mt. Makalu and Mt. Everest, tempting the passengers to take a break for a glance.  

When the weather is clear, the snowcapped mountains look pristine and captivating on the horizon.

 “Mountains look enchanting from here and so do the hills and greeneries. The eastern hill is really stunning. I felt good,” says litterateur Upendra Subba, while commending the morning panorama.  

With the monsoon subsided, the weather is clear. The landscape looks eye-catching and so do the clouds on the horizon, forming varied shapes.

Silauti, Lobrekuti, Sukepokhari which are situated alongside Pauwabhanjyang wear beautiful looks when the weather is clear.

The green floras have their beautiful looks under the blue sky. The clear weather brings in contentment across the faces of visitors including lawmaker Aindra Nembang. “The more we view, the better we feel,” Nembang remarked.

The season for viewing sunrise from Miklajung and Jaribute has started. The flowers are blooming. The flora looks green. With the monsoon subsided, the rural transport has resumed.
