Kathmandu, Oct 20: Kathmandu District Court ordered to release Parbat Gurung, a lawmaker of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) on a general date on Sunday.
A single bench of judge Purneswar Upadhyaya issued the ruling to this effect.
Earlier Gurung had appeared before the court in a case related to the murder attempt of Birdhoj Khadka, a local resident of Dolakha. Khadka accused Gurung of attempting to kill him at Gaushala Kathmandu ahead of the 2017 general elections.
The Kathmandu District Court had issued an arrest warrant against Gurung last Wednesday.
He was elected a member of the House of Representatives from Dolakha.
