KATHMANDU, Oct 16: Police have arrested five persons including Chief Executive Officer of Lalitpur-based Nidan Hospital Bipendra Pradhan for their alleged involvement in a racket related to kidney transplants.
A team of Nepal Police deployed from Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police arrested Nidan Hospital CEO Pradhan, hospital's legal advisor Kumud Kumar Bhattarai, Dr. Rajesh Pant and Section Officer at District Administration Office Lalitpur Ramchandra Ale.
The police also arrested Shanker Lal Lama, who was found involved in buying the kidneys from innocent people luring them with huge amount of money.
Spokesperson at the CIB Govinda Thapaliya told Republica Online that the police will launch an investigation against five persons for their alleged involvement in the racket related to kidney transplants.
