Kidney patient dies due to traffic congestion along Naubishe-Nagdhunga road section

Due to long traffic jam along Naubise-Nagdhunga road section of Prithivi Highway, a kidney-patient who was being taken to Kathmandu from Rautahat for treatment died on Friday morning.

Ruplal Shah, aged 35, of Garuda, Rautahat breathed his last at Mahadev Beshi bazaar along the highway at around 5 am this morning. His relatives were taking him to the capital in the bus (Na 7 Kha 5364) which was stuck in the jam that started from 2 am. 

India, Pakistan boycott each other at SAARC FM meet in New York

Foreign Ministers from India and Pakistan boycotted each other’s address to a meeting of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) on Thursday on the sidelines of the 74th UN General Assembly in New York.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the Pakistani foreign minister, did not attend his Indian counterpart S Jaishankar’s address, joining the meeting only after Jaishankar left the hall. Likewise, Jaishankar did not return for Qureshi’s speech either.

The Chinese envoy's statement comes at a time when the main opposition party and a section of media have expressed concerns about the ruling Nepal Communist Party’s interaction with the Chinese Communist Party on Xi Jinping Thought held in Kathmandu earlier this week.
