KATHMANDU, Sept 12: The National Assembly today has passed two bills related to forests and the environment. The Assembly passed the bills unanimously.

The bills passed by the upper house of the federal parliament today include the 'Environment Protection Bill, 2075 BS' and the 'Forests Bill, 2075 BS'. 

Minister for Forests and Environment, Shakti Bahadur Basnet had presented the two bills along with the Legislation Management Committee's reports on them in the National Assembly meeting.

The National Assembly will next meet at 3 pm on September 15.
