NOC slashes petroleum price (with video)

KATHMANDU, Sept 10: Nepal Oil Corporation has slashed the price of petroleum products.

The state-owned oil monopoly decided to reduce the price of petroleum products by Rs 2 per liter.

The new rates came into effect from Tuesday noon.  

Now, it costs Rs 107 for a liter of petrol. Earlier, consumers would pay Rs 109 for a liter of petrol. The NOC also lowered the price of diesel by Rs 2. Earlier, consumers paid Rs 97 in Kathmandu. 

The NOC's decision has coincided with the formal launch of the India-Nepal cross border pipeline (Motihari-Amlekhgunj) this afternoon.
