KATHMANDU, Aug 10: Chairperson of ruling Nepal Communist Party Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Saturday said the next decade will be the period for prosperity and development.

Saying party unification had reached its final stage, the former Prime Minister claimed that the communist-led government was an opportunity for all. "Nepali people have elected a powerful government.

The state will fail if we fail. And if the state fails, our self-dignity will be at risk", he said addressing an event organized here by the Federation of Community Forestry Users Nepal (FECOFUN) on the occasion of the Fourth Community Forestry Day.

There was a good opportunity at this time to pursue social justice and prosperity, he said. The government was working to make laws in line with the constitution for the scientific management of forest resources, he said.
