It is always beneficial to know some tips and tricks while you prepare for your entrance exam. So, here are some tips to help you prepare for your entrance exams.

1. Create a practical study plan

We all know that planning is the first step to success. However, you need to execute the same to achieve what you are looking for. Planning is art of the possible. So, set a plan that you can successfully execute. Give more time to topics which you find difficult and keep a buffer so that you can complete some pending tasks.

2. Know your strength and weakness

You need to know your weaknesses first to understand your strength. And everyone has specific strengths and weaknesses. Playing to your strengths and sailing through the weaknesses is the best exam strategy you can bet on.

3. Use fewer books for theory

Less is more when referring to books on theory. Having too many books will only lead you to confusion during the time of revision and most of your doubts would remain unresolved without a go to book.

4. Read the questions cautiously

Be cautious while reading the questions. Examiners have a knack to play around with the question and options to know the student’s ability. So read the question carefully to understand what is necessary and pay much attention to the options. Then, watch out for the question having multiple correct answers and you are supposed to choose multiple correct answers.

5. Practice previous year papers

Previous year’s question papers are actual questions which have appeared. So practice them in same time slot as your final exam. Then check your scores. This will build up your confidence level and you will also know which area you need to focus on more.

6. Stay physically and mentally balanced

You might neglect to keep yourself and your mind healthy during exam preparation but it can have adverse effects in the final outcome. So, exercise daily and sleep well to keep your body fresh while giving the exam.

7. Practice, practice, practice.

Finally, there is no substitute for practice. Seventy percent of exam preparation is practice. Use this time very effectively.
