BHIMDATTANAGAR, Oct 5: Minister for Youth and Sports Daljit Sripali has praised the contribution of the far-western region to the development of sports sector. 

Opening a local-level cricket tournament at Krishnapur of Kanchanpur today, the minister said the far-west is a production hub of athletes, pledging all possible support on his behalf for the development and promotion of sports in the region.

The Sports Minister went on saying that the government was committed towards professional enhancement of athletes and the promotion of sports sector. 

On the occasion, he feted cricketers Binod Bhandari and Lalit Bhandari. 

A total of 16 teams are taking part in the tournament organised by the local Royal Youth Club on the occasion of the Dashain and Tihar festivals. RSS
