KATHMANDU, June 5: A secretariat meeting of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has yet again failed to decide about work division among the party's central leaders as top leader Madhav Kumar Nepal opposed the list endorsed by chairmen KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

The party secretariat meeting was postponed for Wednesday afternoon to discuss the issue, but it ended without making any decision and has been postponed until Thursday. The attending leaders of the meeting held at Baluwatar remained divided over as to whether the principle of one-leader one-position should be enforced in the party.

The party could not decide about work division as senior leader Nepal and some other influential leaders have strongly demanded that those holding positions in the government and lawmakers at provincial and federal levels cannot become district in-charges and deputies.

Party spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha informed that meeting would try to finalize the issue on Thursday. Chairperson Dahal, meanwhile, has proposed a middle path solution, to solve the indifferences among the leaders, according to a source.
