CHITWAN, Sept 29: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said he has proposed the Parliament for the establishment of a medical college in every province (proposed).

During his inspection of the Bharatpur Hospital today, the Prime Minister said his proposal (if it is materialized) would help ensure people's access to health facilities.

Guaranteeing people's access to education and health facilities were the priorities of the government, he said, pledging all sorts of possible official support to promote the hospital.

On the occasion, he directed the bodies concerned to leave no stone unturned to provide quality services to the people.

He visited an emergency ward, maternity ward, ICU and a surgery ward and held interactions with the visitors of patients who apprised him of problems they were facing in getting treatment for their ailing relatives. Patients from outer districts called on him to upgrade the condition of the respective District Hospital so that they should not come here for the treatment.

Hospital medical superintendent Dr Rudra Marasini and Doctor Bhojraj Adhikari submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister on behalf of the hospital, urging the government to develop the hospital into an 'institute' and take additional efforts for its upgrade. RSS
