BANKE, May 21: The police have arrested seven people in possession of illegal drugs from Banke district.

A team from Narcotic Control Bureau, Stare 5 arrested Adil Miya of Sharmarani rural municipality-5 from Nepalgunj while smuggling 10 grams brown sugar from India.

Likewise, the police held Laxmi Khadka of Ghorahi sub-metropolitan city-3 and Suman Shrestha of Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan city-10 while jointly smuggling one gram brown sugar from bordering Indian Rupaidiha bazaar. A sniffer dog was also used in making the arrest, said Inspector Bir Bahadur Thapa.

Likewise, Kishor Kumar Dhobi of Nepalgunj-18, Rajendra Harijan of Kohalpur municipality-9 and two unidentified children were arrested in illegal possession of drugs.
