Nat'l special games from Thursday

KATHMANDU June 18: National Sports Council (NSC) is all set to host the 18th edition of School-level National Special Games in Kathmandu from Thursday. According to Min Kumar Sharma, a member of the organizing committee, athletics events for the blind, physically challenged and deaf are included in the games. According to NSC, altogether 302 athletes -- 93 blind, 107 physically challenged and 102 deaf -- are to participate in the tournament, where they vie for 46 gold medals. NSC has formed a nine-member organizing committee led by its treasurer Indra Bahadur Thing to make the tournament a success.



KISC, Baba lift titles



KATHMANDU : KISC lifted the title in the college section of Second Campion Cup Inter-school and College 3x3 Boys´ Basketball Championship on Tuesday while Baba Boarding School clinched the title in the school section. KISC edged past Namgyal College 17-15 in the final of college section as Tenjin Rinchen alone scored 12 points for the winning team. Likewise, Baba defeated HIMS 19-14 in the final of school section.
