KATHMANDU, April 8: Two people pelted bricks to one another until both of them were critically injured in a brutal brawl on early Monday morning.
The incident took place at Tankeshwar bridge in Tahachal. According to DSP Hobindra Bogati, one of those injured breathed his last during the course of treatment at Bir Hospital.
“The body has been taken to the Teaching Hospital for the postmortem,” informed DSP Hobindra Bogati.
The police came to know about the incident at around 2 AM and rushed to the rescue. “The first rescued person is severely injured but is undergoing treatment,” Bogati said. “The second person, whom we recovered after an hour, died in the course of treatment at 7:30 AM.”
The Nepal Police spokesperson said that both of them were porters in the Kalimati area. The identification of both is yet to be ascertained.
