PHC calls for complaints against recommended SC justices

KATHMANDU, April 4: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC) has called for complaints against the five justices that have been recommended to the Supreme Court.   

The Judicial Council's meeting on Tuesday had recommended Prakash Dhungana, Susmalata Dhungana, Kumar Regmi, Hari Phuyal and Manoj Sharma as justices to the apex court.  

As per the constitutional provision, PHSC needs to endorse the names of recommended justices before their appointment by President.
