RAUTAHAT, April 1: Police on Sunday arrested four individuals accused of murdering a woman Rautahat district.

Pramod Thakur of Gadhimai Municipality-1, Haraiya allegedly killed his first wife Sunita Devi Thakur, 28, following a minor family dispute. Sunita was seriously injured after her husband hit her on her head with a sharp weapon.

As the family members refused to take her to the hospital, she kept on bleeding and eventually succumbed to her injuries.

After Sunita's death on Saturday, her husband and his family members managed to bury her body in a nearby forest and then fled away. The sudden disappearance of Sunita and her in-laws created suspicion among the villagers. Some neighbors who had heard the couple quarrel reported to the police about the suspicious involvement of her husband and his family in her murder.

As soon as police received the information, they started investigating the case.

Locals informed Republica that the Sunita had given birth to six children, but none of them survived. As a result, Sunita's husband tied the knot to Subita Devi Thakur of Hempur, Sarlahi.

Sunita's in laws often tortured and ostracized her for not being able to give them an heir. Police have arrested Sunita's husband Pramod, father-in-law Rameshwar Thakur along with two other women Neeva Thakur and Seema Thakur for investigation.

Police Inspector Anmol Khadka of Area Police Office (APO), Garuda informed Republica that four of them are the major suspects in the case and police have intensified search for few other suspects who are currently at large.
