RARA, March 28: A woman who had been facing problems giving birth since the past three days was airlifted from Khatyad rural municipality, in the western region of the district. Lalita Thapa,22, of Thamlekha in ward no. 8 of the rural municipality was airlifted by a Nepali Army helicopter to the regional hospital in Surkhet today.
After experience labour, she had been rushed to the Primary Health Centre in Ratapani but she suffered complications and had to be taken to a more equipped health centre. She was rescued at the initiative of the District Administration Office, Mugu.
Thapa is now undergoing treatment at the hospital, according to Chief District Officer Jaya Kumar Ghimire.
