Citizens Bank, Overseas Remit in remittance pact

KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Citizens Bank International Ltd (CBIL) has signed an agreement with Overseas Remit Pvt Ltd to facilitate remittance transfer.
Issuing a statement, the commercial bank said that its assistant CEO Ramdhan Shrestha, and Bhusan Ghimire and Roshan KC, directors of Overseas Remit, signed the agreement amid a ceremony held on Wednesday.
"Now onwards, Nepali residing in Japan can send money from Overseas Remit to their relatives in Nepal. The remitted money can be withdrawn from any branches or sub-agents of the bank across the country," the statement added.
