KATHMANDU, Mar 13: The main opposition Nepali Congress has said that the decision taken by the government to ban the activities of Netra Bikram Chand-led NCP as the weakness of the government.

Organizing a press meet on Wednesday, party spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma said that the government showed weak point to take confidence from the group though they share common political principals.

Arguing that violence cannot address the demand, Sharma said that the ban is not the long-term solution though the government should be serious and concerned regarding public security.

In another context, Sharma said that the party welcomes the decision made by CK Raut to quit separatist movement but stated that the second point in the agreement has attacked the sovereignty of the nation. He urged both sides for joint elucidation to clarify the agreement points.
