KATHMANDU, Nov 11: Six thousand laptops and other educational materials have been donated to approximately 140 community schools across the country. Provided by Sajha Education E-party Nepal, an NGO, the laptops which will be available in e-libraries of the schools, contain digital books, educational videos on health and agriculture, and more than 5,000 education-related audio materials.
The laptops were handed over at a programme organised on Friday in the Capital.
Addressing the event, Secretary of the Ministry of Education Madhu Prasad Regmi said the government would help expand digital learning to all schools around the country, while asserting that teaching students digitally would yield a good result.
On the occasion, the NGO's Executive Director Rabi Karmacharya shared that efforts were on to accommodate more than 600 digital contents of English, Nepali, mathematics, and science of grades 2 to 8 in English, Nepali and Chapang. RSS
