BAJURA, Feb 6: After studying the prospects of poultry farming and animal husbandry, the Veterinary Hospital and Livestock Service Center, Bajura has made a decision to develop Bajura and Achham as the pocket areas.

These two districts have immense prospects for rearing sheep, goats and local chicken. Dr Shankar Pandey, senior veterinary physician as well as the chief of the center, informed Republica that the interaction organized at Sanfebagar between veterinary experts of both the districts reached to such conclusion.

Regional Director Dr Madan Singh Dhami, senior veterinary doctors Bishnu Prasad Dhital, Bibeshwar Prasad Khanal among others participated in the interaction. According to Dr Dhami, a report will be prepared by studying the prospects in all 19 local units of the district and pocket areas will be determined within this year.

Director Dhami has urged experts to invest only in places where they can get some return. 

Experts argued that this can contribute to the ‘prosperous Nepal happy Nepali’ campaign of the government as this project will not just benefit the farmers but the government as well.
