POKHARA, Sept 18: A flash flood in Pokhara downtown triggered by heavy torrential rainfall since Saturday evening has killed one while another has gone missing.
Krishna Bahadur Thapa, 56, of Lamachaur in Pokhara Sub Metropolis – 16, was swept away violently by the sudden flash flood. Thapa, who sustained fatal injuries, died on his way to hospital, police said.
A flash flood at Birauta intersection of Pokhara – 17, has swept away a person. Search is being carried out for the unidentified person at Fewa Irrigation Canal located at Biruwa Phant area.
Meanwhile, the police rescued at least 13 persons from flood prone section of Chankhapur locality in Pokhara – 26 and rushed them to a safer location. RSS
