Baglung – New Delhi bus service from next week

BAGLUNG, Sept 12: A passenger bus service from Nepal's Baglung to New Delhi, the capital of India, will start next week. 

The first bus will be flagged off for New Delhi from Baglung on September 23. The Dhaulagiri Zonal Transport Bus Entrepreneurs Committee will run the bus service in collaboration with Modern Era Tours and Travels Pvt based in Pokhara. 

The bus service will run on three days a week – Sunday, Wednesday and Friday from Baglung and New Delhi. 

Committee Chairman, Kumar Khadka, said the service would operate deluxe passenger buses in view of travellers' desire and facility. 

The bus leaving from Baglung will travel through Pokhara, Narayangadh and Sunauli border point before arriving at its final station at Mori Gate Baraf Khana of New Delhi. 

A passenger will be charged Rs 3,200 for one way travel that covers a distance of 320 km and completed in 30 hours. 

The migrant workers from Dhaulagiri in Nepal, Indian tourists, pilgrims, students, professionals and medical patients are expected to be the chief beneficiaries of the bus service. 

Hotel Entrepreneurs Association Baglung Chairman, Arjun Chokhal, said the Baglung-New Delhi bus service will contribute in promoting tourism in the sector. 

The Committee has stated that it is ready to run the bus service on a daily basis as part of service expansion to meet the demands of the number of travellers. The Committee plans to start bus service to India's Siliguri and Guwahati in near future. RSS
