KATHMANDU, Dec 5 : Senior Orthopedic Surgeon Dr Govinda KC on Wednesday urged the government to address his demands at the earliest.

Issuing a press release, KC asked the government to table the Medical Education Bill in the parliament to bring reforms in the medical education.

KC has warned to launch another round of hunger strike if his demands are not met in next two weeks while reminding his previous call for the same.

Even several months after the agreements were signed; they remain unaddressed although the government had vowed to implement them as early as possible.

Dr KC has expressed grave concern over the recent ruling of Janakpur High Court in a case related to the entrance examination of students at Birgunj Medical College. KC has argued that the court’s ruling was in favor of the medical mafias.

Likewise, KC has expressed concerned over the Nepal Medical Council’s decision to give permission to Pokhara Health and Science Academy to run the Masters’ Program.
