Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister, Ishwor Pokhrel said that imparting skills to aspiring migrant workers was important. Addressing the Colombo Process meeting at Hotel Soaltee, Pokhrel said that foreign employment and remittance played an important part in the country's economy.

80% of victims of violence are women: INSEC
Cases of violence has increased in the past 10 months in the district, according to a data released by INSEC. Of the 73 victims, 80 per cent are women, according to INSEC. It adds that rape is one of the most predominant cases and between January to October, 2018, there were 39 incidents of rape.
