53 voting areas identified as sensitive in Dadeldhura

DADELDHURA, Nov 23: As many as 53 voting areas in Dadeldhura district have been identified as sensitive from the security perspective.

Out of the total 77 voting areas in the district, 16 are categorized as highly sensitive, 37 sensitive and 24 as normal, the Chief District Officer, Janak Raj Bhatta said.

The House of Representatives and State Assembly elections are taking place in Dadeldhura on December 7.

Similarly, out of the total seven local levels in the district, the District Security Committee has identified three local levels as highly sensitive and four local levels as sensitive from the security aspect. Additional security personnel will be deputed in the district for election security.

High security alertness has been adopted in the district also because Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is voting from the district, the District Administration Office stated.

There are 77 voting areas and 117 voting centres in Dadeldhura district.
