53 per cent voting as of 1.30 pm: EC

KATHMANDU, June 28: Fifty-three per cent voting had taken place until 1.30 pm under the second phase of local level election underway in Province Nos. 1, 5 and 7 today. The voting will take place until 5 pm.

KATHMANDU, June 28: Fifty-three per cent voting had taken place until 1.30 pm under the second phase of local level election underway in Province Nos. 1, 5 and 7 today. The voting will take place until 5 pm. 



According to information received at the Joint Election Operation Centre of the Election Commission, Udayapur and Dadeldhura had recorded 65 per cent voting while Solukhumbu, Khotang and Bhojpur among 12 other districts recorded over 60 per cent voting as of 1.30 pm, it is stated in a press release issued by the EC spokesman Surya Prasad Sharma. 



Sharma has stated that the rest of the districts also reported around 50 per cent voting until 1.30 pm. 



The Election Commission stated that polling centers opened at 7 am today for voting in the election taking place for 334 local levels in 35 districts of the three provinces. RSS
