Maoist probe commission to make its report public on Oct 19

KATHMANDU, Oct. 14: A Commission formed by the UCPN-Maoist to carryout investigation on property of the party leaders is to make public the report on October 19.According to member of the Commission, Lokendra Bista Magar, the Commission has given the final touch to the report and preparation to make public the report is underway.



The Commission is going to make public the report on October 19 saying some technical works are remaining though the report was to be made public by mid-October. [break]



The seventh extended meeting of the party held three months ago had formed the Commission under the leadership of party leader Amik Sherchan and had started its work from last week of July.



In the beginning, the tenure of the Commission was for one month, but its time was extended for many times.The Commission had publicly called to file complaints against leaders from July 26-August 12. A total of 65 complaints on various leaders had been filed in the Commission.



The Commission said it had investigated by keeping names of petitioners and accused, secret.Bista said the main report of the investigation will be submitted to the party and its summary would only be made public.



Amik Sherchan was Chairman of the Commission whereas Bista and Nawaraj Subedi were members.



Meanwhile, the party also formed another commission under the convenorship of Secretary of the party, Posta Bahadur Bogati, to carry out investigation on financial irregularities made in the PLA cantonments.
