52 central members, one joint-general secretary, one presidential candidates withdraw nomination

KATHMANDU, Dec 12: Yuvaraj Neupane has withdrawn his candidacy for the post of Nepali Congress (NC) president at the ongoing 14th General Convention of the party in the capital.

KATHMANDU, Dec 12: Yuvaraj Neupane has withdrawn his candidacy for the post of Nepali Congress (NC) president at the ongoing 14th General Convention of the party in the capital. 


Similarly, Surendra Prasad Chaudhary has also withdrawn his candidacy from the post of Joint-General Secretary, according to the party’s central election committee. The nomination withdrawal process concluded at 12:30PM today.

So far, one candidate for the post of Joint-General Secretary and 52 candidates for central members have withdrawn their nominations. Earlier, six candidates had announced their candidacies for the post of party’s president, 39 for the post of office-bearers and 499 candidates had submitted their nominations for the General Convention. 


Following the end of the nomination withdrawal process, the names of the candidates will be published today itself. The voting will start on December 13 at 8AM.
