KATHMANDU, Oct 1: A 62 year old grandfather, Khali Ram Chaudhary of Lamhi 6, Dang has been accused of raping his 12 year granddaughter.

"Chaudhary has admitted of the incident and we are investigating into the case," DSP Ram Prasad Gharti Magar of District Police Office, Dang said.

The incident took place at around 4:30 PM yesterday. The DSP said that the parents came to the rescue when the minor screamed when the grandfather had penetrated.  "The child's condition is stable and we arrested the accused yeterday itself."

Across the country, the number of rapes have increased dramatically with children being the biggest victim.
