5 TMDP leaders join Gachchhadar's party

RAUTAHAT, May 10: Five former lawmakers from the Tarai Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP) on Friday defected to the Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar-led Madhesi Peoples Rights Forum-Democratic (MPRF-D).



Party general secretary Govinda Chaudhary, assistant general secretary Arbinda Sah and treasurer Ramani Ram joined MPRF-D, on Friday. All three of them were former lawmakers from the Mahatha Thakur-led TMDP. [break]



Also joining the new party were former lawmakers Chandan Sah and Urmila Mahato. They had been staying inactive since their resignation from the party some time ago.



Likewise, TMDP´s Rautahat district vice chairmen Ram Pravesh Yadav and Asha Shekhar and member Amrit Lal Chaudhary also joined the Gachchhadar-led party.



MPRF-D Chairman Gachchhadar welcomed them all to the party amid a function in the district headquarters.
