5 things about Bindu Pariyar

'Parkha Parkha Mayalu' famed singer Bindu Pariyar has been entertaining Nepali music lovers with her modern and folk tuned songs. In her seven years' career in singing, she has already sung more than 300 Nepali songs. Few of her hit songs are ‘Pahilo Numberma’ from the movie ‘Chhakka Panja 3’, ‘Gharbar Ma’, ‘Maa K Gaaru’, and more. She has already launched two solo albums, ‘Maya Garchu Hai’ is her latest album.

In conversation with My City, Pariyar revealed five things that many may not know about her.

Yoga and meditation Lover

Bindu begins her day with yoga and meditation. Since the last three years, it has been her daily routine to do yoga and meditation for at least half an hour. She shares, "My favorite is anulom vilom as it also helps me in strengthening my voice."

Impressive Chef

She loves cooking and she usually cooks traditional dishes. Her family members are fans of her cooking skill. “I usually cook typical Nepali dishes and everyone loves my cooking, especially my chutneys.”

Dalle khursani fan

It is necessary for her to bite on one Dalle khursani (chilly) while having her meal. She adds, “I have to bite on Dalle khursani whenever I am having my meal. And I have heard that it does not affect your body like other regular chillies.”

Big no to frozen food

According to her, she has not had ice cream since she came to Kathmandu from her home place, Dang. She says, “The climate is slightly different in Kathmandu. Dang is much warmer than Kathmandu. I could recover soon from the cold in Dang. But in Kathmandu it is different, frozen food items do not suit me. So, I also avoid cold drinks.”

Lazy to clean 

When it comes to washing her clothes and cleaning her room, she feels like it is wasting her time. “I do not like washing clothes or arranging things in the room. However, I do wash and clean, when it is absolutely essential to do so,” she answers with a grin.
