KATHMANDU, Aug 6: Police have suspected that Nishant Khadka, 11 of Kandaghari, who had been missing since yesterday evening has been kidnapped.
However, chief of Metropolitan Police Division, Kathmandu SSP Bishwa Raj Pokhrel said that it was still early to decide whether the child has been kidnapped or lost his way to home.
He said that the police had intensified search operation since yesterday itself. The SSP along with his teams are searching nearby areas, Kadaghari, Thimi and Lalitpur.
“We are investigating the case. We’ll get the results in couple of hours,” Pokhrel said.
The police cast their doubts after family members said that they had received phone calls from unknown groups making attempts to extort hefty money.
