Six ill after consuming toxic mushroom

DANG, Tulsipur, July 15: At least six people including five belonging to a same family in Dang have fallen sick after consuming poisonous mushroom brought from forest.



Among those affected from the consumption of wild mushroom on Saturday are Bir Bahadur BK, 40, his spouse, Dhansari BK, 31, sons Pradeep BK, 17 and Ranjit BK, 11, and his seven-month newborn Rekha BK of Bijauri VDC-4, according to the District Police Office. [break]



Likewise, sixty-five-year-old Devi Chhetri of Ghorahi municipality-11 was also fallen sick after eating mushroom.



All those ailing are being treated at Rapti Sub-regional Hospital in Ghorahi. Among them, the Bir Bahadur BK, his son Ranjit and Devi Chhetri are said to be in critical condition, the hospital sources said.
