KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Amid ongoing rift between the ruling and the opposition parties over Dr Govinda KC’s demands, the president of the main opposition Nepali Congress, Sher Bahadur Deuba, has cancelled his seven-day visit to India.

He was supposed to fly to India on Sunday for regular medical treatment of his spouse Arzu Rana Deuba.
A press statement issued by the party stated that Deuba decided to cancel his visit keeping in view the unfolding political development in the country.

“It is notified that his India visit has been cancelled for now considering the unfolding political development in the country for the past few days,” said the press statement issued by the party.
