KATHMANDU, Aug 26: Minister for Urban Development, Arjun Narsingh KC, has said development of physical infrastructures in rural areas was essential to advance villages towards city.

Issuing a directive to the Ministry employees after amusing the office on Friday, Minister KC said, "Village could be developed as a beautiful city after ensuring minimum facilities including road, drinking water, and electricity." He also directed the employees to prioritize the reconstruction activities to be fulfilled by the Ministry.

Minister KC said, "Fulfill your responsibility as per the rule and try to be transparent. I will not discriminate anyone in office activities."

On the occasion, National Planning Commission member Surendra Babu Shrestha, Secretary at the Ministry, Dipendra Nath Sharma, expressed their views.RSS
