At least 10 killed, scores injured in Upper Mustang tipper accident

At least 10 workers have been killed and scores injured the tipper they were riding on met in an accident at Ghiling, five hours walk from the district headquarter Jomsom of Upper Mustang.  The accident took place when the tipper, Ba 2 Ka 222, was ferrying construction workers for Jomsom-Korala road section.

Residents draw attention of govt as Gorkha Brewery fills Narayani River with toxic chemicals  

Residents of Gaidakot municipality of Nawalparasi East have urged the government for timely intervention to stop pollution in the Narayani River. The river has been polluted by untreated toxic chemicals released by Gorkha Brewery Pvt. Ltd and other industries near the river bank.  The chemicals not only pose threat to marine life, it also affects citizens who rely on the water for various daily uses.   The Brewery has dismissed allegations, despite the monitoring from the Department of Environment stating otherwise.
