DAMAULI, Tanahun, July 3: A girl died and two others were critically injured after being crushed by a falling tree at Pataltar of Vyas municipality-6 today. 

The deceased have been identified as 10-year-old Binisa Thapa, daughter of Tej Bahadur Thapa, according to the District Police Office. She died while undergoing treatment at Ratnahari Hospital, Damauli. 

Similarly, the injured are Asmita Thapa, 12, and Somisa, 8. Both the injured are daughters of Tej Bahadur Thapa. Asmita and Sonisa have been referred to Manipal Teaching Hospital, Pokhara, from Ratnahari Hospital. 

The tree crushed them at a time when they were on their way to school, New Kalika Academy, said Police Head Constable, Chandra Bahadur Rana. 

Meanwhile, a person died after being swept away by Kyandi stream at Shuklagandaki municipality-11 on Monday evening. The deceased has been identified as Nil Bahadur Gurung, 51, of Shuklagandaki-11, said Police Inspector at Area Police Office, Belchautara, Shrawan Kumar BK. 

Critically injured Gurung was rushed to Phoolbari Hospital where doctors declared him dead. 
Similarly, Yam Bahadur Kumal, 57, of Bhimad municipality-8 went missing after being swept away by the same stream. 

The stream swept away both of them while they were crossing the stream. Search for the missing Kumal is on, said police.
