Nepal, US armies begin two-day interaction in capital

KATHMANDU, June 6: A two-day interaction between Nepal Army and American Army has started in the capital, for the first time of its kind in the history of Nepal Army, on Wednesday.

Acting Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Lieutenant General Shree Purna Chandra Thapa and Major General Roger J. Noble of Australian Army, who leads the United States Army Pacific-USARPAC,  held a Land Forces Talk  (LFT) in Bhadrakali today.

According to a press statement issued by the Directorate of Public Relations and Information of the Nepal Army, as many as 36 generals -19 amry officials led by Major General Jagadish Chandra Pokharel and 17 amry officials led by Major General Roger J. Noble - participated in the interaction.

The meeting dwelled on various issues including disaster management and military trainings.

”This kind of interaction would bolster the mutural interst and bilateral ties between the two countries,” reads the statement.
