BIRGUNJ, May 26: Once heavily congested with nearly 100 coronavirus (COVID-19) infected patients, Birgunj-based Narayani Hospital has reported recovery of all patients admitted here.
According to Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr Madan Upadhyay, as many as 43 patients were discharged on Monday alone after they were tested negative for the COVID-19 in the last two consecutive tests conducted through PCR method. Two of those discharged on Monday are Parsa-based journalists, according to the hospital administration.

“We don’t have any COVID-19 patient in the hospital now after 43 persons (aged between 18 and 54) from Parsa, Bara and Salrahi districts were discharged on Monday,” said Dr Upadhyay. One of those discharged from the hospital after recovery is an Indian national.
The hospital had discharged nine other patients on Saturday and 18 others on Sunday after their recovery.
With this, a total of 155 COVID-19 infected have returned home after recovery. Of the 682 total confirmed cases in Nepal, four have died of this fatal disease so far.
