Chennai tops points table defeating Banglore by 6 wickets

KATHMANDU, May 5: Chennai Super Kings climbed atop the table defeating Royal Challengers Banglore by 6 wickets in the 35th match of Indian Premier League in Pune on Saturday. 

Chennai reached the target in 18 overs losing four wickets. Winning the toss, Chennai first opt. to field, and get the target of 128 runs by Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB). RCB made the 127 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 9 wickets.

Ambati Rayudu contributes highest 32 runs with two sixes and three fours in 25 balls. Likewise, Mahendra Sing Dhoni made 31 runs, Suresh Raina made 25 runs, Dwayne Bravo made 14 runs, Shane Watson made 11 runs and Dhruv Shorey made 8 runs for Chennai Super Kings. 

Umesh Yadav took two wickets for Royal Challengers Banglore and Colin de Grandhomme and Murugan Ashwin took a single wicket each. 

Parthiv Patel contributed highest 53 runs with five fours and two sixes in 41 balls for RCB. Likewise, Tim Southee made 36 runs with three fours and a sixes in 26 balls.

Virat Kohli and C de Grandhomme made equal 8 runs each, Mandeep Singh made 7 runs, Brendon McCullum made 5 runs, Mohammed Siraj 3 runs and AB de Villiers, UT Yadav, M Ashwin shrank in a single run each.

Ravindra Jadeja took 3 wickets for Chennai Super Kings. Likewise, Harbhajan sing took 2 wickets and Lungi Ngidi and David Willey took a single wicket each. 

Ravindra Jadeja is being the players of the match.
