KATHMANDU, Aug 30: Three more Nepali nationals died of COVID-19 this week in foreign countries, according to the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA). With this, the COVID-19 death toll of Nepali nationals dying abroad has reached 195.
One Nepali national in the United Kingdom (UK) and two others in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) succumbed to COVID-19 this week.

As of Saturday evening, 215 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in Nepal alone. With this, the number of Nepali nationals dying of COVID-19 both at home and abroad has reached 410, according to the latest data from NRNA.
As of Saturday evening, Nepali nationals living in various 38 countries have contracted the novel coronavirus. Nepali nationals living in 17 different countries including UK, UAE, Saudi Arab, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Ireland, Japan, Turkey, Netherlands, Sweden, India, and South Africa have died of the novel coronavirus disease, according to the data maintained by the NRNA.
As many as 34,701 Nepali nationals in foreign countries have been diagnosed with COVID-19 so far and 32,511 COVID-19 patients have recovered successfully and returned home.
Similarly, some 53,699 Nepali nationals left stranded in various countries due to the global COVID-19 pandemic have been repatriated home so far.
