I will monitor government's works from Singha Durbar: PM

KATHMANDU, Aug 19: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal today said that he would inspect and monitor the functioning of the government by staying inside the administrative building Singha Durbar instead of attending formal programmes frequently. 

The PM said his move aims to get effective results from the works of the government. 

"I have prioritised result-oriented work rather than taking part in formal programmes. I am currently focused on it," he said. 
The PM shared his view with a team from Sindhuli, who reached the PM residence in Baluwatar today to congratulate and extend best wishes to him. 

During the meeting, PM Dahal told the delegation that the government was creating an environment for going for elections through an amendment to the constitution, said that the PM Secretariat. 

Prime Minister Dahal expressed belief that holding of the local body elections would help the country pursue political stability. 

Saying that high level envoys were sent to neighbours China and India to maintain balanced diplomatic ties with them, he said it was his responsibility to consolidate internal and external nationality of the country. 

During the meeting with the PM, the delegation including CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Haribol Gajurel drew the attention of the PM, demanding that relief amounts the government has announced to the victims of the earthquake on April 25, 2015 from Sindhuli be increased. RSS
