DOTI, April 21: Three passengers died and 16 others got injured in a jeep accident occurred today at Shikhar Municipality-3 in Doti on Saturday.

The deceased have been identified as Khinturi Bhool, 40, of Jorgaun, Kati Sarki, 32, and a boy Suraj Bhujel, 14. The ill-fated jeep (Ga 1 Cha 5275) belonging to Shaileshwari Yatayat en route to Jorgaun of the district from Dipayal met with an accident near the river of the district, according to police unit of Dipayal.

According to Sub-Inspector Dil Bahadur Kunwar, in-charge of the unit, the rescue is underway and the police have started the investigation.
