BAITADI, June 30: The District Police Office, Baitadi has begun a 'one police personnel one sapling' plantation campaign. Accordingly, 400 saplings of different species were planted on Saturday.
Altogether 400 police personnel serving in the district planted the saplings of fruits and herbs in various public places, government office premises and open ground. Of them, 250 personnel are based at the Office, according to police spokesperson Police Inspector Dipak Patali.
Chief District Officer of Baitadi, Ananda Poudel, district judge Iswari Prasad Bhandari, Mayor of Dasarath Chand Municipality Narendra Singh Thapa and other dignitaries also took part in the plantation program organised to mark the National Afforestation Program.
