Wheelchair world tour hopefuls reach Parbat

FALEBAS, PARBAT, Nov 28: Two differently-able persons who are on a world tour wishing for world peace arrived in Kusma Bazaar of Parbat district, Sunday.



The two who are in the tour on wheelchair say they will stay for eight days in Parbat.[break]



Tej Bahadur Karki, 47, a resident of Prabcha VDC -4 in Okhaldhunga living in Kathmandu and Nir Bahadur Nepali of Damek VDC-5 in Baglung district have arrived here in connection of their world tour.



They are in such a campaign to show that even the disabled can do something for the country.



The two also wish for law and order in the country and for constitution of a disabled commission, according to Karki,



Karki started the journey from Jeth, 2061 BS, whereas Bir Bahadur Nepali of Baglung joined him in the journey a week ago.



Karki has already visited all the 75 districts of Nepal with the help of a wheel chair and has also reached Darjeeling and other parts of India, and Bangladesh.



Karki said they plan to visit European countries after visiting the SAARC countries.



They have been visiting each district for 8-10 days, collect financial assistance and study the condition of the disabled and their organizations in the district, in course of their 18 year long visit.



Karki a driver was injured in a vehicle accident in 2058 BS. He has lost both is limbs and Nepali was injured while building a house in 2060 BS.



They have six other assistants as well in the journey. As we have completed visiting Nepal, we are preparing to visit the rest of the SAARC countries, Karki said.
