Vehicles sans green stickers will be banned from April 8

Lal Babu Pandit, minister of Environment has vowed to tackle the country’s pollution by booking polluters. The Ministry plans to ban vehicles without green stickers to ply in the metropolitan and sub-metropolitan cities from April 8, non degradable plastic bag producers and promote organic bags.

Fire guts 30 houses

A fire that sparked from a shed emblazed 30 houses at Tajakot rural municipality-1, Humla. The rural municipality had 50 homes altogether, 30 of which was gutted in the fire.

Scientists, researchers confirm pesticides harm the bees

A new, comprehensive report from European scientists confirms that a class of pesticides called neonicotinoids poses a danger to wild bees and managed honey bees.  Neonicotinoids (also called neonics) are used to coat seeds to protect them when they are sown.
